Rainbow drawings

With St. Patrick's Day coming up, it was only appropriate that we talked about rainbows, pots of gold, four leaf clovers and the such.  So, we did a 'draw a rainbow' activity with no specific directions.  This is how their drawings turned out...

Vann drawing some clovers

Chayce's rainbow

Vann's rainbow...the leprechaun is throwing his money over the rainbow.  And there's one four leaf clover under the rainbow because they're hard to find :)

After Chayce finished his rainbow he proceeded to make a story out of his drawing.  Are you ready??
Okay here goes...The red guy is Dad.  And Dad was pushing a storm across the rainbow.  The storm is the big green circles.  The blue lines near the top are rain.  Then the bat, little red drawing near top left of picture, started putting fire on the rain.  So, Dad threw glitter at the bat trying to get it in his eyes so he couldn't see.  But sometimes the bat would shake his head so the glitter wouldn't get in his eyes.  The glitter is the straight gray lines from Dad to the bat.

I just love their little imaginations!
