Physics fun!

One egg made for a lot of fun in this house yesterday!  You should totally try this at home.  PS...I'm loving the iMovie app to combine videos.  Except that it cut Vann's head off lol.  I think I need to video sideways instead of up and down next time.  Note to self...

The kids put colorful dots on their puppies and Miss Molly thought they were hers.  She snuggled right in between them and started nosing them.  It was adorable!

A little color mixing action...the little kids looved this!

This is hopefully going to be a sun catcher after it dries.  I think we may have used a bit too much glue though.  I'll keep ya posted on how they turn out.

They had fun swirling the food coloring into cool designs.

Vann got some metallic origami paper.  He's loving it!  He made a teeny tiny hand and a few pinwheels.

The boys found Orion in the sky last night.  They love spotting constellations.  And then they got to pick out books for completing the winter reading program through the library...yay!  Except little Ash left his somewhere while we were looking for other books and we didn't realize until we got home that it was missing.  So back to the library we go only to retrace our steps and still not find his sneaky Spiderman book.  Ah well, such is life.  He decided to check out a few dinosaur books and call it even.  Love his go with the flow attitude!

Chaycers and stuff

Chaycers is my 'let's see what silly position I can get into for this fun activity' kiddo.  And I love it!  Especially when he reads...he's always laying in some crazy position and he's oh so squirmy too.  But hey he loves to learn so it's all good with me!

This is a great learning game, the boys enjoy it.

And an exercise ball makes it even more fun!

Skip Bo...one of my favs!

Molly snuggles.

My loves and I

More Molly snuggles...I love this.

The boys getting ready to go roller skating for Kenny's birthday.  Fun fun!

The boys and I did some yard work yesterday.  It looks like it rained sticks in our backyard...seriously there are so so many!  But we're making progress on cleaning it up and making it all pretty.  It'll be a few days, but I can't wait till it's all done.  I'm even planting some flowers this year!  I have lots of fun ideas in my noggin...we'll see how much I actually get done though.  Whatever it is, I'll be sure to snap pics and show you :)  Hope you have the best day!

Ash & Molly

Here are a few pics of Ash and Molly.  He loves to try and get the tags around her neck.  We're so lucky she such a tolerant, patient, loving dog.

Speaking of Molly...I got her groomed the other day.  I tried out one of those mobile pet grooming vans.  They come to your house, take your dog to their van and groom away.  It was convenient and cheaper than what I usually pay at Petsmart.  I will say the trim job she did around her feet, belly and butt wasn't perfect, but it wasn't bad.  I'd do it again just to save myself a trip to the pet store.

I want your tags!

Kisses!

These tags are sooo interesting!

The First Snow

We had our first snow today.  The boys were excited about it!  I'm thankful for the mild winter we've been having cuz I'm just not a huge cold weather fan, but I do love the first snow.  Makes the brown grass and the leafless trees look a little prettier.  But the best part is watching the kids play in it!  The snow is fresh and soft, perfect for snow angels and snow balls and all of that.

So, when Chayce got up from his nap I bundled them both up and sent them out to play in the snow.  They had a great time!  Running and squealing and throwing it and eating it and laying in it...so fun!  And you know who else liked it???  Molly!!  Oh my, she was in heaven!  It was so cute...she was so excited!

Chayce kept throwing snow at Molly

You would think Molly would get mad, but she didn't.  She's so sweet and just loves the boys!

Vann's doing a snow angel in the background.

She playing with her pink ball.

I couldn't find his snow gloves so, I doubled him on the regular gloves which is why all that snow is sticking to them.

Enjoying some hot chocolate afterwards to warm up!

Chayce had apple cider with marshmallows...gotta have the marshmallows!

Then for dinner I made some chili and homemade cornbread.  The best part of my night was Chris telling me he was impressed with my chili!  This is a big deal in our house.  He's the chili master...seriously, he can make some freakin' good chili.  I don't even try to compete.  But for whatever reason, I really focused on the spices this time.  Usually I just dump some stuff in and hope for the best, but this time I thought about what I was adding and consulted a few recipes.  I also used two different meats which added some texture.  And to my surprise, it turned out really good!  And then to top it off...the boys inhaled the cornbread.  Especially Chayce...he couldn't get enough!

Yesterday we read Three Billy Goats Gruff.  And afterwards the kids colored a picture with a troll and a bridge.

Chayce loves to write his name...he's been doing it for awhile now, but it's finally becoming more legible.

Grey Anatomy is on tonight!!!  So excited to watch it.  And then I should go to bed, but I'm sure I'll stay up and watch Private Practice too.  Then I'll be super tired tomorrow...happens every week.  Hope your day was great!
