The Mask

Happy Thanksgiving a few days late!  We hosted this year for Chris's fam and it was a nice time.  The turkey Chris made was delish!  He did something different with it, I'm not sure what exactly, but I do know he cooked it in the oven directly on the rack.  And then he put pans of vegetables for the stuffing he made underneath it to catch all the yummies that dripped off.  I don't know the details, but whatever he did it was super yum!

We went to Chris's Dad's house for a multiple birthday celebration at the beginning of November.  Here are all the boys with Pops.

Vann in his mask :)

Little Ash got his big boy bed!!  I have wanted a king size bed for f.o.r.e.v.e.r!  So much so that shortly after we bought our bedroom furniture, like 6 years ago, I saw the king bed frame to match our furniture on clearance and bought it knowing someday we would be able to buy the king mattress.   Well that someday finally happened!!  The king bed frame has been living in it's original box in our garage for years and it's finally getting used...yay!  Anyhow, this worked out perfectly for Ash because instead of selling our queen mattress, we just gave it to him.  And he loves his big boy bed...like loves it loves it!

Cutie pie!

I took the boys to Michaels just to shop around...here my clan :)  Ash loves pushing the small baskets with wheels.  And yes Vann wore his mask and hood almost the entire time haha!

I hope you're having a nice 4 day weekend!  I've been doing a lot of online shopping trying to get ready for Christmas.  We put our tree up today, didn't decorate it yet, we'll do that part tomorrow.  The boys love putting their decorations on it.  We also put some lights on our bushes in the front yard....first time ever if you can believe that!  The boys were super excited to finally have decorations outside!  I'm thinking of maybe getting some of those candy cane lights for the front walk...I'll have to see how much they are and then decide.

Okie doke...I'm gonna go watch Grey's Anatomy from like 3 weeks ago.  I'm so behind on my shows!  Have a great night :)

Native American Hats

We've been talking about Thanksgiving so, we decided to make Native American hats yesterday.  I had some super cute lil' Indians running around here!  We taught Ash to put his hand on his mouth and say 'aww aww aww aww'...he did it, but didn't make the sound.  It was still
adorable :)

What's this thing on my head??

Makes a great necklace too :)

Cheese!

Aww aww aww aww....

Love these boys!!

Veteran's Day

We had a laid back school day today.  Some of the schools were closed because of Veteran's Day so, I had an extra daycare kiddo that the boys just love playing with.  We learned about Veteran's Day, did a couple of crafts, watched Monsters University, did some more crafts, played a little Wii, ran around in the snow...a fun day for the boys.

Cheese Chaycers!

Smiles all around :)

Their finished creations!

We ended our day watching Ash try to jump.  It's so cute.  He bounces his knees and says his version of 'jump!'  It's adorable every time.  So, of course we tried to make him do it over and over again :)

Thanksgiving

I know I'm a little late, but Happy Thanksgiving!!  Did you have a good holiday?  Ours was nice and relaxing.  And extra special because my sister and her two kiddos came to visit.  It was so fun watching the kids play and spend time together!

Before they got here though the boys did a few crafts.  These are the pics I took...

Turkey Tuesday...

Our preschool theme this week is obviously Thanksgiving.  So, we've been talking about pilgrims, turkeys, etc.  Yesterday the kids made a cute little turkey out of their footprint.  They thought the painting part was a lot of fun...giggled the whole time!  After their footprints dried they added some feathers, eyes and a beak.

Chayce drawing a beak for his turkey.

Vann adding his turkey's beak.

The boys and their footprint turkeys!

Watching a cartoon while I cooked dinner.  Notice Chayce's red upper lip...he's had a runny nose/cough all day he's not looking so hot.

Last night I gave the boys a much needed hair cut.  I've been putting it off for weeks now so, it was time.  Today, they decorated a turkey.  They all enjoyed it!

Vann lined all his papers up...

'I need a dark blue one.'  Chayce said.

So, I was on the computer tonight after dinner and I glance down and my ring catches my eye.  The prongs are empty!  My first instinct was to freak out...but then I quickly thought to myself, stay calm the diamond could be on my lap or something so, no sudden movements.  I begin to look around and then realize that it didn't actually fall out of my ring, it just fell out of the prongs and settled down into the setting.  I was relieved to have not lost the diamond...but pissed that it fell out of the prongs.  So, after work tomorrow I'm gonna take it in to have them fix it.  I really hope this isn't going to be a reoccurring problem with my ring...that's the last thing I need to worry about all the time.  I gotta tell ya...I never thought I'd get used to wearing a ring, but now I feel naked without it on!

Ok, I am sooo tired right now.  My eyes are begging to let them shut.  So, I'm off to bed!  Hope your day was great!
