Soccer and stuff...

Vann had a soccer game today.  They all played a great game and Vann scored a goal!!  Chris and I really have such a fun time watching him play.  I never thought I'd be the mom that totally gets into the game and cheers and paces the sidelines...but I am!  Here's some of the pics I captured...

Trying to get the ball
And he's off!
There's our #7!

After the game we came home, ate some lunch and I got to work on my green Power Ranger cake.  I baked it on Friday so, the next step was to make my circle cakes into oval shapes.  Once I got my ovals made, I frosted them with the chocolate frosting I made earlier this morning and popped them in the fridge to harden a bit.  Then I put little Chaycers down for a nap and Vann and I hit the stores.  We went to Whole Foods in search of some lactose free tortellini or ravioli.  I'm making a yummy tortellini soup tomorrow so, I needed some that Chayce could eat.  They didn't have any tortellini, but they did had two kinds of ravioli...butternut squash and spinach florentine...both will be great in my soup.

When we got back home, I got the mail and Chayce had another card in there so, I let him open it up.

How cute is he?!  Thanks Great Grandma for the $$!

After dinner I finished the Power Ranger cake and I can't wait to show it to you tomorrow!  I know...one more day of suspense.  I'm really happy with the way it turned out.  I hope the birthday boy loves it!

I also wrapped his presents tonight...here they are just waiting for him to wake up and open them!  The lava lamps are from our good friend Laurie who is staying with us this weekend.  She got one for each of the boys.  I'm sure they're gonna love them!

Happy Birthday Chayce!!
I asked Chayce what he wanted for breakfast in the morning...he said, 'Green Power Ranger cake!'  So cute!  I told him we're gonna have to wait till lunch for that.  So, he said the next best thing would be, 'eggs and apples.'  He's easy to please!  I'll probably do a little more than eggs and apples...I'm thinking some sweet potato blueberry pancakes.  I've never combined the two before so, we'll see how the fam likes them.  I'm sure they'll be a big hit!

Okay, well I'm off to bed.  Sweet dreams my little birthday boy!
