It's Friday!

I love Friday's.  And this Friday is extra exciting because Grandma Rana is in town, Laurie will come here tonight and the boys' magic birthday party is on Sunday.  Lots of fun to be had in the next couple of days!  

I'm almost done prepping for the party.  And I decided what kind of cake I'm making.  It sounds so yummy...a chocolate hazelnut cake with nutella buttercream.  Yummo, right?!  I'm actually going to make two cakes and then a bunch of cupcakes for the kids.  The cupcakes will be from a box...kinda lame I know.  But let's face it, kids don't really care.  

I've been meaning to tell you what happened to baby Ash the other night.  He's been sleeping really well lately.  And he wakes up very happy, never crying.  Well the other morning around 5ish he wasn't crying crying, but he had sort of a whiny, moany cry.  I let him fuss for a minute then thought, that cry isn't normal, something must be wrong.  When I went to pick him up, poor thing had his pacifier in his mouth with his water cup hanging from it!  The handle had somehow gotten stuck around the ring of the pacifier.  I'm not even sure how it happened because the space between the handle and the cup is less than a centimeter, but it happened and he was not happy.  So, I unhooked them, changed his diaper and he went back to sleep for a few hours.  

Worst mom ever alert...Ash fell down the two stairs by our front door on Wednesday.  I was so mad at myself.  One of my daycare moms was leaving and had opened the gate.  Her baby's pacifier fell and bounced down the stairs so, I walked down to pick it up for her.  Didn't even think to grab Ash...he was playing in the other room.  So I picked up the pacifier while the mom was walking down the stairs and she said 'oh no!'  I turned around and little Ash was laying on the floor crying :(  Didn't even hear him come around the couch by the stairs.  Thankfully he was buffered by her legs so, he didn't fall hard, but I'm sure it still hurt.  I checked him out and he didn't have any bumps or bruises, but I still fell horrible.  Worst mom ever.
