Cute lil' snowmen

The little kids made some cute lil' snowmen last week!

Painting his head first.

Harley started at
the bottom.
Bridget did a little
of every circle :)

Getting the middle now.
And the bottom.

She's almost done!

Filling in her last circle.

And he's almost done too!

Squeezing some glue on for
the cotton balls.
This is their snow.

Pushing it down.

Like this Mom?!
Decorating his snowman.

I was out of buttons, so we used little balls instead.

Gluing his eyeballs on...
Right here, yes!

All done!!

Lookin' good Bridget!

Aren't they just the cutest?!
If you look closely you can see the mouths they drew on after the paint dried.  I love them all!

F is for Feather

We're learning about the letter F this week so, I thought feathers would be perfect for our F craft.  The kids loved them too!

He did great putting the glue on his F's.

Look at that feathery little f!

Working on the big F now.
Almost done...

These feathers are fun!

So they don't look much like F's anymore, but he likes them :)

Bridget's working on her letter F.
She only wanted a big F on her paper :)

A blue one right here, perfect!

Harley's putting her glue on.
Gotta get the line on
the little f.

All done!

So pretty huh?!

I'll have to snap a picture of our display of all the letters Ash has made so far.  I have them hung on a string in his room and every time he goes in there he points them out.  And he's started pointing them out everywhere else now too!  His fav is the big E and little e.  He's sees them on everything!  It's super cute, I love it.

Stamping with Squares

Our shape of the month is a square so, today we did some stamping with square blocks.  After gathering all the square blocks, the kiddos headed to the table and got busy.  They used primary colors and we chatted about what new colors are made when you mix the paints up.  Time to stamp!

I encouraged them to lift
straight up after stamping
it down.
That lil' tip worked well!

Harley and Ash stamping away.

He likes it!

Time to mix the paints up
a bit!
We began to see purple, green
and orange in his squares.

Their stamped squares!
Ash's is on top, Harley's is on bottom.

Fall Trees

I can't believe it's October!!  I love fall, but it seems to fly by every year.  And then it's winter for f.o.r.e.v.e.r.  And I don't love winter.  So, I plan to soak up every bit of fall this year!

The kids made some cool art today.  Even though our trees haven't started turning pretty colors yet, I thought it'd be fun to paint some pretty falls trees.  We read a few books about fall and then got busy painting.

First, I ripped a bunch of tape strips and let the kiddos put them wherever they wished.  These are their trees...you'll see in a few how cool they end up looking.

Then they painted...
Gotta get the corner!

He made sure not to miss a spot.

Using some red now...
It's looking good Ash!

And now for a little green...

He said, 'My Dad is going to love this!'

One more corner and that's it!

After they dried I took carefully took the tape off.  And voila!  Look how pretty their trees are.  I love them!

I got this idea from Pinterest...I heart Pinterest.  I seriously wish all the outfits I pin on there would magically appear in my closet.  I hope you have a fabulous day!
