Purse organizer

I bought this cute purse organizer yesterday.  I'm excited for it to get here!  Although it's coming from China or somewhere so, it'll likely take a little bit.  It'll be so great to organize my snacks and lip glosses and all that fun stuff.
I love the blue!  And I love that it's super cheap...like $3.
It's on Amazon if you want to check it out.  There are lots of other colors.  Click here!

I'm so glad tomorrow's Friday!  I have lots of fun stuff to do this weekend.  First up is the DMV...woot, woot!  Yeah that's gonna be a blast.  I have to renew my license.  Then I'm gonna hit the bank...another super fun errand, I know you're jealous :)  I need to open a savings account for little Ash.  After that I'm gonna stop by Old Navy to make a return and see if there's anything I can't live without.  Right next door to Old Navy is Five Below so, I'll pop in there to see if they have any fun stocking stuffers for the boys.  Then on my way home I'm gonna stop by Vann's soccer coach's house to pick up his soccer pictures and trophy.  And that'll be it!

Okay I'm off to watch some Grey's Anatomy.  Chat with ya later!

Game Night

The boys and I had game night last night.  It was a lot of fun!  Chris's Dad was over so, he joined in on the fun too.  Chris, however, was super tired after dinner so, he napped on the couch...too bad cuz I love whooping him in any game!

First up was good ol' Guess Who.  This game is a classic.  It was Chayce and I against Vann.  We won the first game and Vann won the second.

Next up was Monopoly Junior.  Chayce got this game for Christmas so, it was our first time playing it.  And it was a lot of fun!  Just a simplified Monopoly.  It was great and the kids liked it...I foresee us playing it a lot.

Then we pulled out one of Vann's favorites...Money Bags.  We actually play this one a lot...it makes learning about money fun.  And Vann really does like it so, that makes it even better!

So, that was our fun Friday night.  What did you do??

Today, I ran a few errands...Target, the library and Caputos (that's where we buy our produce and deli stuff...such great prices).  Finally got the rest of my Christmas stuff put away...seriously, what took me so long??  Lazy, that's what!  But it's done...so yay!  And now I'm getting ready to watch The Help.  Have you seen it?  I honestly have no idea what it's even about.  I'm so behind on movies right now.  But I'm excited to curl up under my favorite blanket and watch it!

Hope you're having a great weekend!

My Love Affair...

with Amazon is about to become a little outta control.  Between the boys' birthdays, which are both coming up in the next couple of months, and Christmas being right around the corner...I have a feeling Amazon will be delivering boxes to my house on a regular basis.

Up first is Chayce's birthday.  It's in two weeks.  He's obsessed with the Power Rangers.  Just today he was walking around with a glow stick saying, 'Huh, huh, hiya!'  Adorable!  So, that's the theme for his mini party, aka just the fam.  He's been talking about a Power Rangers cake for the last 3 months...so mama must deliver.  I've got a great plan in my little noggin.  Here's to hoping I can make the coolest Green Power Ranger cake ever!

Since the boys birthdays are only 6 weeks apart, I'm throwing them a joint party this year...right in the middle.  I have mixed feelings about it, which is why I've never done it, but for whatever reason, this year we're giving it a shot.

The theme for this party is Super Mario.  The boys love, love, love all things Mario!  If they're not playing it on their Wii or their DS, then they're acting it out or drawing it.  Seriously, they even make believe they're Mario or Luigi or Bowser in the bathtub!  So, Mario was an obvious choice for their big party.

I've just started my brainstorming for this party and let me tell ya, I've got ideas coming out my ears!  My focus in the next couple of weeks is to turn those ideas into something fun for the kids, yet easy on the wallet.  I'm excited to see how it all turns out.

And then we have Vann's birthday.  He told me today he wants a Bowser cake for his mini party.  I'm not sure how I'm gonna pull that one off, but I'll give it a shot!

I like to decorate cakes.  It's a fun, creative outlet for me.  I'm still a rookie though and I wish I had time to take a class to perfect my skills, but I don't.  So, through trial and error, I'm slowly figuring things out.  This weekend, I'll try to find some pics of the cakes I've made so, I can show you.

My dilemma this time will be Chayce's lactose intolerance.  Making something yummy, yet easy to decorate with may be a challenge, but I'll figure it out.

Okay, well enough babble about cakes.  I think this post started out about Amazon...and how much I heart it!  I ordered Chayce one of his presents today...the Power Rangers Megazord...he's gonna love it!  I also ordered some Mario figures off of ebay...I'm gonna use them for decorations at the big party.

Okay, well I'm done for tonight!  I'm gonna go attempt to watch a movie and hope I don't fall asleep.  Have a good night!

Oil Pastels

If you've never tried them before...you should!  Crayola Oil Pastels.  They're more vibrant than crayons, the kids love coloring with them and they're budget friendly.  I got mine from amazon (surprise, surprise).

The kids colored some lightning bugs with their oil pastels this morning.  Here are some pics of them in the zone...

Vann and Chayce picking out what color to use next

Chayce and his lightning bug...he's so proud!
Vann and his lightning bug...looks great buddy!

Hope your afternoon is going great!
