Happy Valentine's Day!

We've been doing a lot of fun crafts to celebrate Valentine's Day this week.  We made heart banners to hang around the house, hearts for the front door, it's very pink and red in here :)  The boys have done a lot of painting...mixing red and white to make pink...making hearts out of their handprints...sponge painting...all sorts of fun things!

When the paint dried, we took the hearts off and where they were it was white...kinda cool :)

We had a little Valentine's Day party with some friends this morning.  It was fun!  My friend Paige brought over some cute games for the kids to play which they enjoyed.  We had lots of yummy snacks.  I made pink mini muffins, red kettle korn, pink rice krispie treats cut into hearts, fruit cut into hearts, all sorts of stuff.  I also made some candy covered pretzels for the kiddos' Valentine treats.  They were super easy and very yummy!  And Paige also brought over some chocolate covered strawberries...can you say deliciousness?!  I may have had one too may of those :)

I did some dipped in white with red squiggles

I'm going to need a sugar detox after all of this!  Chris gets home tonight.  He went to Atlanta for work on Tuesday morning so, it's just been me and the boys for a few days.  They're excited for him to come home.

I hope you're having a 'love'ly day!!

Our Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day!  I know I'm a day late, but I didn't get a chance to post anything yesterday.  How was your heart day?  Ours was nice.  The kids loved all the heart action that went on throughout the day!

Chayce helped me put together these treats for the daycare kiddos.

The boys woke up to these fun treats!

Vann was excited about his Power Ranger Lego guy

They played so cute together!

We did a heart collage for our craft

And they had little heart sloppy joe sandwiches for lunch

The boys also had heart toast for breakfast with their eggs, but they ate it before I could take a picture!

We had gymnastics last night.  They are both still loving it which makes me happy.  I'm gonna try to make open gym this Saturday.  I really want to get in there with them.  Plus, jumping on the big trampoline is fun!

Oh my...I just remembered I started boiling some eggs like 40 minutes ago...oops!!  That's what I get for being on the phone when I put them on...I forgot to set my timer.

Hope you're having a great day!

My Saturday

When I was shopping at Target today, I picked up a bunch of fun Valentine's stuff for my daycare kiddos and my boys.  I love holidays!

I was wanting to get the boys just a little something, other than candy or snacks, to open on Valentine's Day.  I searched and searched till I found the most perfect thing...a small Power Rangers Lego set...two of their favorite things combined...awesome!  I also got them each a Lego book...you can never have too many books.  I'm looking forward to a fun filled Valentine's Day with the kids!

We didn't end up taking the boys to open gym today.  I figured with Chayce being a little sick, it probably wasn't such a good idea.  We'll go next week for sure.

The boys are both really good about helping around the house.  They know I like to keep things tidy and each toy/thing has its home...well most of them do anyhow.  They like to help with chores, like feeding the dog, putting their clothes away, making beds, stuff like that.  Well, Chris and I thought it was about time to reward them for their hard work.  Teach them the value of a dollar.  So, they both have certain chores to do everyday and if they complete them they'll earn money at the end of the day.  And I gotta tell ya, they're both super excited about it! Vann already knows what he's saving his money for...a Wii game of course :)

We watched Spy Kids today...it's a pretty cute movie.  Vann just loved it!  He said, 'That movie was awesome!'  I'm sure he'll be reenacting scenes all day tomorrow :)

I'm off to watch another movie on Netflix.  Have a great night!
