Speckled Hens

These hens are one of my favorites.  They blended and created textures and outlined and really made their hens come to life!  Just wait you'll see...

My lil artists at work.

Painting the fence.
Different shades of brown
make it look really cool.

Painting the grass.

Adding her eye.

Outlining her in black.

Two lil feet.

Working on making it look feathery.

Lil cutie!

So focused, I love it.

An orange beak.

Baby Shay!

How have I not told you this yet?  We have a new family member!!  Baby Shay was born a month ago and is the most adorable lil thing you've ever seen.  I'm in love with him!

Love is amazing.  I remember when I was preggo with Chayce wondering how I could possibly love another tiny human as much I love my first born Vann.  I was worried I wouldn't have enough love for him.  Sounds silly now, but it was a very real feeling at the time.  I quickly learned there is always room for more love.  Always.  The depth of my love for each of my boys is unbelievable to me.  And I'm positive if I had 10 more babies I would love them just as deeply.  When I first laid my eyes on baby Shay that was it.  Instantly in love, like he was my own.  Love is amazing.

Ash was smitten with him as well.  I held Shay for about an hour and he sat like this the whole time.  And watching Ash love Shay...makes my heart explode.

Chaycers loves him some babies!

Ash is making sure
Vann doing a good job.
He's gonna be a good
big cousin!

We went to visit him a week after he was born.  Love this face!

Chayce kept rubbing his head.  So sweet.

Oh my...kisses!

Welcome to the world baby Shay!  We're so happy you're here and look forward to many fun times with you.  You are one loved baby.

Hay ride

The boys and I went to a Fall Festival this past Saturday.  It was the most gorgeous fall day ever!  Clear skies, bright sun, temps in the 60's, trees starting to change colors, it was amazing.  So this festival had a hay ride and we couldn't miss that.  Would you believe the ride lasted a good 10 minutes?!

Buddies

This was the only time Ash turned around lol.

After that he was looking straight ahead making sure he didn't miss a thing!

These three chatted about the things they saw.

See that sun?  Perfect.

He held on like this with
both hands pretty much
the whole ride.
The grounds at this park
are so pretty!

Played a game of Labyrinth with the boys.  It's a fun maze game.

Vann's making a move.
To get me!  He and
Chayce were teaming
up against me lol

I supervised the SAT's at a local college here a few weekends ago.  As I watched the students think and solve problems I looked at a few questions in an unused test book.  Then that next week Vann learned the equation to solve one of the questions!  Couldn't believe it.  We love Life of Fred, our math curriculum, and this is one small reason why.  We love it mostly because it makes math fun.  The boys look forward to it everyday.  It's never a chore for them.  And now I'm feeling pretty good that Vann will get at least one problem on his SATs correct!

Another way to make school work fun...nerf gun bullets!

We're headed to Texas tomorrow morning to visit my family down there.  Exciting!  Remember last year when we almost missed our plane...2 minutes to spare.  Phew it was so close.  Well that's not happening this year!  And I'm bringing a new book to read.  I haven't made time to read in months and I miss it.  So hopefully I'll be able to get a few pages in while we wait at the airport.  Today we'll all be busy packing and cleaning.  I love coming home from vacation to a mostly clean house.  Makes getting back into your regular routine a lil easier.  Okay I'm off to get busy for the day.  Have a beautiful Wednesday!

My Sweets turned 4!!

My baby is 4!  When the heck did that happen huh?  Oh my Sweets.  He is hands down the best snuggler out there.  Full body arm and leg squeezes...love 'em.  And he's such a goofball!  He's always making us laugh.  He loves to learn, play outside and his fav is spending time with his brothers.  He's a pretty amazing little brother.

The night before his birthday I snapped a few pics...see what I mean about being a goofball!

When he was just a few days old.  Chaycers has loved this lil baby since he was in my belly.  They have the most special bond.  Makes my heart so happy!

Present time!

A Spiderman game for his Innotab.

A card from Grandma.

Pokemon cards!

Card from another Grandma!

Vann reading him the card...it was a funny one!

An animal Lego set.

This was his most fav present...

A nerf gun!!  I know, like we need more, but they're so much fun!

He got right to building his Lego set.  And he did so good!

He read the instructions and put it together all by himself.

Happy Birthday time!  He picked out this chocolate cake from the store.

Blow 'em out!

That cute face...I just wanna smooch him all over!

And there's my goofy boy!

For his birthday fun we went bowling.

He loooves to bowl!

He had this sideways throw going on.  It was adorable.

First of three games...in the 2nd game he got a strike!

Chaycers and Vann

It was such fun family time.  We all loved it!

My three loves.

Chris, Vann and I only played two games.  I broke 100 on game 2!  Took me a long time to get my groove on and not gutter ball it lol.

Happy 4th birthday my Sweets!  Love you more than you'll ever know.  Keep being your loving, silly, perfect lil self.
